Delivery & collection
Getting your furniture home
Everything we make and sell is handled by our own team, not a courier network. Here's how delivery works, what it costs and when to expect us.

It arrives
Our team brings it in, puts it where you want it and takes the packaging away.
Why we do our own deliveries
No couriers, no doorstep drops
Our delivery drivers are part of the same team as our makers — including people the workshop has trained and employed. It costs us a bit more than using a courier, but it means your furniture arrives properly, and every penny of the delivery charge stays with us.
- Delivered by our own team, often by the people who built it
- Carried in and placed where you want it, not left on the doorstep
- Packaging taken away and reused or recycled
- Delivery charges go straight back into our housing work
Delivery FAQs
Questions about getting it home
If your question isn't answered here, the team in store will know.
How much does delivery cost?
It depends on where you are and how big the item is. The exact charge is calculated at checkout, so you'll always see it before you pay. Collection in store is free.
How long will my order take?
Preloved furniture is usually delivered within a week or two. Handmade pieces are built to order, so allow longer — we'll give you a realistic date when you order, and keep you posted.
Do you deliver outside the North East?
Sometimes, for larger orders. Get in touch before you order and we'll tell you honestly whether we can reach you and what it would cost.
Will you take my old furniture away?
If it's in good condition, very often yes — and it goes to someone moving into a new home. Mention it when you book and we'll bring the extra space.
What if it doesn't fit through the door?
Measure your doorways, stairs and turns before you order, and tell us about anything tricky. Our team have seen most things and will do everything they reasonably can.
What if something arrives damaged?
Tell us straight away and we'll put it right — repaired, replaced or refunded. Your statutory rights aren't affected by anything on this page.
Every purchase funds a safe home
Handmade in our workshop or given a second life in our showroom — either way, it changes someone's.
