Support Alison’s 80-Mile Challenge

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of catching up with the incredible Alison as she continues a very special challenge – walking 80 miles to celebrate her 80th birthday, all while raising vital funds to support people experiencing homelessness across the North East.

Alison began her journey at Killhope, at the top of Weardale, and will make her way right across County Durham to Roker on the coast.

Along the way, Alison will be passing our Bishop Auckland Homeless Hub, where Bob and members of our Homeless Support Team will be joining her for part of her walk as she continues towards the coast.

We are incredibly grateful to Alison for choosing to support Cornerstone through such an amazing challenge. Her fundraising comes at an especially important time as we begin preparing for the colder months ahead.

Every penny Alison raises will go directly towards our emergency accommodation, helping us open our doors to people who find themselves with nowhere else to turn and ensuring they have a safe place to stay when they need it most.

We can’t wait to welcome Alison to Bishop Auckland and join her for part of this incredible journey.
